It is with great sadness that we must report news of the passing of one of our brothers, ex-Cheif Bill Fear. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Fear family.

William C. Fear
(Died February 27, 2010)
U.S. Veteran William C. Fear, Sr. passed away on February 27, 2010. He was a Supervisor of the American Hard Rubber Co., of Butler, N.J. Born in Butler, N.J., he lived there until 1943, when he entered the U. S. Army and served in World War II, in Europe. Upon returning in 1946, he settled in Bloomingdale. He was a parishioner of St. Anthony's Church in Butler. Among his many activities, he was a member of the Butler Fire Dept. until 1946. He than moved to Bloomingdale and became a member of the Bloomingdale Fire Dept. He served as President of the Exempt Association. He was also the Fire Chief for 17 years. He was a member of the John Dean American Legion and past Commander of the Bloomingdale VFW. He is the Son of the late Charles and Julia Fear. He was the Husband of the late Phyliss Patricia Fear. He was predeceased by his Brother Gerald Witty of Bloomingdale. Beloved Father of William C. Fear, Jr. and his Daughter in Law, Kathleen of Bloomingdale. Grandfather of William C. Fear, III and his Wife Lisa of Butler and Michael E. Fear of Bloomingdale. He was a Great Grandfather of Evan, Cameron and Shane Fear of Butler. Viewing hours will be Monday, March 1st, 2010, from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Ave., Butler, NJ. A mass will be offered on Tuesday 10am at St. Anthony RC Church, Butler, NJ. Burial to follow at Mt Calvary Cemetery, Butler.
